Adding a property using our Property Wizard takes less than 5 minutes and is your first step to getting started.
When you click on the 'Properties' menu, you will be provided with a 'Add Property' button. Clicking this button will take you to the Property Creation Wizard which will guide you through the process.
This is where you can add a property cover photo, as well as a name for the property. We suggest you use the property address as the name, but feel free to get more creative!
If you own the property, select "yes" when asked if you own the property. If you select no, you will be prompted to add the owner's details on the next page.
If you are in a region that does not permit the use of security deposits, select the "Last Months Rent" option.
Optional Step (if you do not own the property)
If you do not own the property, you will be prompted to either select from a list of existing owners, or to add a new owner. Select "add new owner" from the drop down to create and assign a new owner to this property.
This allows you to define the property type. If the property is a single unit (i.e. a house or condo), select 'yes' when asked if the property is a single unit. If you mark the property as a single unit, you will not be able to add additional units to the property.
Adding the property's address could never be easier! As soon as you start typing the property address into the "street" field, we help autocomplete the details. As soon as you see your property address populate, click it in the drop down and it will prefill all of the address fields for you!
If you are in Ontario, it will also ask if you use N1 or N2 forms for renewals.
This is where you add additional property details. Provide a few sentences to describe your property, mark whether you allow pets, if utilities are included and your preferred lease term.
This is where you add unit details, and can add as many units as needed. To add additional units, click the "add additional unit" button. To remove a unit, click the garbage can icon.
This is where you add the building and community amenity details. To select an amenity, click on the square icon beside an amenity. A checkmark signifies the amenity has been selected.
This is where you assign leasing agents to the building. All assigned agents will receive notifications of new applicants, showings and leases. If you click "use communal showings", then all agents within the platform will be automatically assigned to that property.
Step 9 (Optional)
Showing instructions are sent to your prospects as soon as they book a showing. Prescreening messages populate prior to a prospect booking a showing at your property.
